The annual MOCK Crash for the Plaquemines Parish high school seniors was held on March 7, 2013.  The event brought awareness to the students of the dangers of driving while under the influence, impaired or distracted.  Judge Kevin Conner presided over the Mock Trial following the crash demonstration and stressed to the students the dangers and realities of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol as well as being distracted while texting and driving.  A poem written by a young victim of a drunk driver drove home the message for the high school students to choose not drive while under the influence and to avoid texting and driving.
