The 25th JDC Div B, Department of Youth & Family Services partners with the Buras YMCA and Jefferson Performing Arts Society

This summer, the Buras YMCA partnered with the Jefferson Performing Arts Society (JPSA) through the Jazz and Heritage Grant received by 25th Judicial District Court (JDC), Division B [Judge Michael Clement] and the Department of Youth and Family Services (DYFS).   The grant provided various art classes for Plaquemines Parish youth in several communities throughout the parish.

At the Buras YMCA, children participated in a week-long program instructed by a local artist to create a mural representing lower Plaquemines Parish.  The mural will be hung in the Buras YMCA.  This project was another collaborate effort that supported Judge Clement’s mission of providing positive, healthy activities for the youth of Plaquemines Parish.
